2021 was a year of change and growth.
The current events have drastically altered the way we work, operate, and the day-to-day lives of our workforce.
Nevertheless, there are still many organizations that continue to serve the community throughout these uncertain times.
As part of our 2021 Social Impact Initiative, we decided to donate our time to a local food bank, The Food Bank of York Region.
This food bank serves as the official food collection and distribution hub for the region, providing perishable and non-perishable food to shelters, social services and non-profit housing.
This year, we volunteered to sort donated foods, pack kits for delivery, as well as to stock the shelves in the Food Bank, with canned goods, produce and fresh bakery items.
The impact that the organization has on the community, is truly remarkable.
Their dedicated volunteers help to pack food deliveries to serve approximately 1,400 people every month to help individuals of all ages.
We are grateful for the volunteers who donate countless hours and work behind the scenes to ensure the organization thrives and continues to help families in need.
If you are looking to donate your time to help the community, we suggest starting with your local food bank as they are always looking for more volunteers throughout the year.
